firefly

so you want to buy your child a phone for those "just in case" kind of emergencies. how great! your local cingular phone supplier, just happens to have developed a kid-centric phone for this very need. it has everything - just 5 keys, it's sturdy, designed "for kids" with 7 screen colors and has 12 ring tones.

but wait, what's this? it has dedicated "mom and dad" keys. lovely. so what if you're a single parent? what if your child thinks that these magical parent keys will in fact call his/her real dad who has been missing for years or his/her mom who he's never met? hmmm...

and if you still need a phone of this nature, do you just explain to your child that their dad/mom buttons won't work like everyone elses will? a quandary...

see it for yourself
